By 1213 AD, the Barons of England had already acquired distaste with being treated like the King's slaves, so they developed and implemented what became known as the Magna Carta. The Barons took to the sword and forced King John to sign the decree. Pope Innocent III, maintaining his position in the original contract of 1213, declared the Magna Charta to be "unlawful and unjust as it is base and shameful. . . whereby the Apostolic See is brought into contempt, the Royal Prerogative diminished, the English outraged, and the whole enterprise of the Crusade greatly imperiled."
During this time, inquisitions stemming from the first inquisition of 1208 implemented to completely destroy the Cathars, were launched by secular rulers to prosecute "heretics". Often done with the approval of the Catholic church hierarchy, the inquisitions were mostly done to counter-act the threat of the pursuing Muslim invasion. Sometimes however, these inquisitions were enacted for political reasons.
Over the next couple of centuries, papal authority shuffled locations. Residing under French rule in 1309 AD (it was during this time that the remaining Knights Templar left the European mainland and set up shop in Scotland as the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. The Pope at the time Clement V, had been in exile in France and restricted under the authority of King Phillip IV, which is why he was powerless to stop their demise.) The papacy moved back to Rome in 1376 AD. Disputing claims over the papacy in Rome continued, until 1417 when Martin V was named Pope.
During the early 15th century in an effort to combat the ensuing Islamic conquest, Pope Nicholas V granted Portugal the right to capture and enslave the Muslims. This also granted authority for Portugal to capture and enslave any non-Christian believers. Non-Christian believers being anyone not defined a Christian by the established government. (This is similar to our current situation. Our government can define you and me as an "enemy combatant" thereby establishing you or me as a "domestic terrorist". This is a political means of covertly eliminating any and all opposition to the establishment's agenda. The Roman empire perfected this type of manipulation and we can thank the Catholic church for its preservation of this deadly and effective technique.)
In 1453 AD, Constantinople, former capitol to the Roman Empire, fell to the Muslim Ottoman Invaders.
(Many western world explorations began during the 15th century, and considering the immense support and financial backing by the Catholic church, these explorations effectively spread the Catholic religion in the explored territories. This is the reason for the modern Catholic influence in Central and South America... [According to a 2000 census, 88% of Mexico's population professes to be Catholic.] the Portuguese, Spanish, and French explorations to these areas left a huge Catholic footprint. These explorations and their insistence on conversion to Catholicism, led to the horrible accounts of the "inquisition" type persecution of the Native American peoples. Torture and murder awaited the indigenous people of these regions who refused to convert to the Catholic faith.)
Also worth mentioning is the fact that the treaty of 1213 solidified the Pope's authority as "the Vicar of Christ" and his claim of everything and everyone on earth as a tradition as I had noted previously. The financial backing of the Pope was key in these explorations and converting foreign peoples to Catholicism was one of the main priorities in the explorations. This was the beginning of the papacy's quest for global domination.
In 1480 AD, one such "inquisition" was instituted by King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain. In what was known as the Spanish Inquisition, it attempted to deal with distrusted converts from Judaism and Islam to Catholicism. More than 3,000 people were murdered over the next 350 years.
In 1509 AD, the scholar Erasmus wrote "In Praise of Folly". This work depicted the public outcry and detest of the corruption within the Catholic church. Several organized councils were held during this period and attempted to address the corruption and tried to reform the abuses within the church. They were unsuccessful.
In 1517 AD, Martin Luther (Lutherans) sent his Ninety-Five thesis in a letter to several bishops and posted it on the church door of Wittenburg. Luther protested many key points of Catholic doctrine including the blasphemous sale of indulgences (the ability to financially purchase forgiveness of sin). Shortly there after other men including John Calvin (Calvinists) began to also come forward and protest the corruption of the Catholic church.
In 1521 AD, the Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan converted the first Catholics in the Philippines.
In 1522 AD, French Catholic missionaries arrived in Mexico and established the first schools and hospitals. (The Catholic church had predominantly created the European University system, which was effectively established in the communities that had built up around the urban Catholic missionaries. You might ask yourself where the structure, curriculum modeling, and overall underlying influence of our modern day university system came from...The use of educational institutions [i.e. our public education system] as political/religious propaganda and its use as a means of public conditioning, certainly can trace its roots to this Catholic rendered establishment.)
In 1534 AD, Ignatius of Loyola and six other students at the university of Paris made a pact with one another promising chastity and good works towards others. They also pledged unwavering devotion to the Pope and his will. Called The Jesuits or the Society of Jesus, they took a very aggressive approach to the cause of the up coming Counter-Reformation. The Jesuits are among the secret societies which perpetuate "new age" dogma. This group developed a series of "exercises" for converts to participate in. These "exercises" included meditation, visualisation, having a "spiritual guide", and finding "God's" will for your life through this meditation and instead of thinking of God, "feel" him. (This is nothing more than mysticism, clearing your mind of conscious thought and sensing or feeling instead. This is a very common practice in eastern religion and New Age philosophy. In the United States alone, the order of the Jesuits maintains over 50 colleges, universities and/or high schools. Remember the Catholic church is responsible for the structuring of the modern school and university system. Therefore, who do you think established our earliest universities? ALL of our major political leaders graduate from some ivy league university prior to being able to run for public office... do you think that they are not influenced by the Catholic church's curriculum? At Gregorian University the current Pope... Pope Benedict XVI said "one of the greatest services the Society of Jesus (or Jesuits) carries out for the UNIVERSAL Church." Benedict reveals where the Jesuits loyalty lies..and the Popes as well, because the Jesuits were founded on the principle of carrying out the will of the presiding pope... The UNIVERSAL church. The same unitarian garbage to be found amongst the Luciferians. And there you have it, the Catholic's connection the New Age Movement... More on the Jesuits later...)
In 1545 AD at the Council of Trent, the Catholic church attempted to address the public's grievances by establishing the Counter-Reformation.The church reaffirmed many central Catholic religious beliefs. Several other religious orders emerged as a result, including the Theatines and Barnabites.
During the mid to late 1500's, wars throughout Europe, including Germany and France, broke out between the Catholic church and the advocates of the Protestant Reformation.
In 1598 AD, the Edict of Nantes was erected. This granted civil and religious toleration to Protestants and was hesitantly accepted by Pope Clement VIII.
During the mid 1600's, Pope Innocent IX attempted to further reform abuses by the church, tried to unite Europe against the ensuing Turkish invasions, and openly condemned religious persecution of any kind. Most of his ambitions were of course to gain political favor.
In 1685 AD, King Louie XIV of France revoked the Edict of Nantes which granted religious tolerance. This along with many other conflicts during this time spurred a backlash against Christianity. The French Revolution soon convened eventually leading to the nationalization of church property and the outlawing of the Catholic church in France.
During the 16th and 17th centuries, Catholic missions expanded globally. Missionaries under the Spanish Jesuit Francis Xavier evangelized in India and Japan further spreading Catholicism. (This where the Jesuits really firmly defined their mystic practices.) Catholicism had spread significantly in Central America and made its way into North America due to the Spanish explorations.
In 1773 AD, after causing the outlaw of Christian missionaries in China, the Jesuits were dissolved by Pope Clement XIV due to pressure from European rulers.
In 1776 AD, San Francisco was founded as a Spanish colony.
In 1781 AD, The colony of Los Angeles was founded, furthering the Catholic imprint on the North American continent.
During this rush for expansion, the Native Americans benefited from the goods and services available to them through the Catholic Missions that built up from within the Spanish settlements, but as had been a problem since explorers first stepped foot in the western world... diseases brought from the East did not bode well for the Indians.
In 1801 AD, Napolean effectively re-establishes the Catholic church in France with the Concordat of 1801. Napoleon's conquests brought about a revival in the Catholic church. Enthusiasm and a renewed respect for the papacy developed as a result.
In 1814 AD, the Jesuits are restored to power through what is known as the papal bull Sollicitudo omnium ecclesiarum.
In 1870 AD the First Vatican Council convened, recognizing the Pope as the abiding moral and spiritual authority over the worldwide church and granted the pope infallibility. This defined the Pope as the universal voice of all practicing Catholics, basically creating a type of authoritarian religious fascism, over-riding any opposition to the Pope's imposed dogma. The dogmatic constitution that emerged from this council stated that the pope maintained on behalf of Christ and his kingdom the, and I quote, "full and supreme power of jurisdiction over the whole Church" As a result, this spurred much controversy and several Germanic churches split off from the church. This soon led to the creation of the so called "Old Catholic church", who rejected papal infallibility and rather believed that infallibility could only be attributed to a council of Bishops.
By the end of the 19th Century, European powers had gained control of much of Africa's interior. Following the European governments into Africa, the Catholic church missionaries built schools, hospitals, monasteries and churches... everything a society/community needs to be conditioned and controlled by the establishment.
By the dawn of the 20th century, the Catholic church had influenced every corner of the globe.
The industrial revolution and thus technology was drastically changing the world... science now had become a staple in mainstream thinking... the secret gnostic knowledge of old was no longer so secret... the information age was beginning... the church could no longer withhold and sustain control... society was becoming "modernized". In response, the Catholic church felt a need to react to these changes and respond accordingly to maintain their power... in comes Vatican II...
In 1962 AD, the Second Vatican Council convened. This council was intended to be a continuation of the First Vatican Council and further modernize the mission statement of the Catholic church and its intentions. There were four sessions over a period of four years in which over 2,900 men including ALL bishops from around the world attended, making it the largest gathering of any church council to date. Seventeen Orthodox Churches and Protestant denominations sent representatives as observers. Several dozen representatives of other Christian communities were present during the opening session, and by the end of the 4th Council Period, the number grew to almost 100.
During the first session, many of the guidelines for the remaining sessions were established, including committee appointments. At the end of the First session, pope John XXIII died and pope Paul VI was elected to succeed him.
During the second session, pope Paul VI addressed 4 main issues:
-to fully define the nature of the church and the role of the bishop;
-to renew the Catholic church;
-to restore unity amongst all Christians;
-and to start implementing a dialogue with the contemporary world.
(Establish a dialogue with the contemporary world?? Why is this necessary? Christ told us what we should say and what we were to do as his followers and his disciples. Christ delivered the truth on the basis of personal need.. never apologizing or stepping away from the truth for anyone. If the dialogue Jesus offered was not acceptable to the ones listening then, as the young rich man did, they walked away and Jesus continued unscathed in his quest to profess the eternal truth. The truth in and of itself cannot mutate or change... for if God is eternal and God is also truth...then therefore is the truth not also eternal?? The changes made within the Catholic church dating back to its very inception has had absolutely nothing to do with the truth. Changes were made simply for political power and control. Many pagan practices were incorporated into the church so that pagans, not just the Christians, would recognize the Catholic church as the ultimate authority and pay tribute. This is exactly what the Catholic church attempted to do with Vatican II... to re-arrange doctrine for the lifestyles of men. Jesus most assuredly preached that we are to change our lives in light of the truth...not the other way around. Again I quote Matthew 15:7-9... "Ye hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.")
During the third section, many proposals were drafted and much was debated on leading up to what would transpire from the fourth and final session. These proposals include such hotly debated topics such as the particular methods in which to modernize the church and religious freedoms, therefore revoking the oldest doctrine within the Catholic church... the one, true, most holy, apostolic church of Christ....membership of which, being the only way to acquire salvation.
In 1965 AD, the final and 4th session of Vatican II commenced.
Pope Paul VI made several changes:
-formed a Papal Commission for the Media of Social Communication to assist bishops with the pastoral use of these media;
-declared a jubilee from January 1 to May 26, 1966 and urged all Catholics to study and accept the decisions of the council and apply them in a spiritual renewal of the church;
-changed the procedures of the Holy Office, and changed the title, giving it the name of the "Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith"
-made permanent the secretariates for the Promotion of Christian Unity, for Non-Christian Religions, and for Non-Believers.
Several things here that I would like to comment on...
-First, the pope established a commission to "assist" bishops with the use of the media?? So before the bishop can address the media, the commission not only filters, but places propaganda material in the bishop's hands... controlling what the sheep are fed... sounds like our government and the propaganda force that is the mass media. Oh wait... Rome (the Pope) owns us anyway... so that makes sense. I wonder how many people from the press were at this council.
-Second, the Holy Office is now called the "Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith". Very clearly here the doctrine is generalized from a doctrine of the Pope on behalf of Jesus to a doctrine that encompasses "faith"...well according to how it is written, that includes every person that has faith. According to Hebrews 11:1 the definition of faith is "the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen". So anyone that has believed in any being or god that cannot be physically seen, is now represented from within the previously called "Holy Office" of the Catholic church. So as "Vicar of Christ" the pope now accepts all faiths as is. Jesus Christ did not and would not do this for Jesus himself said in John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh to the father, but by me." This is what the Catholic church once called...heresy.
-And thirdly "Promotion of Christian Unity, for Non-Christian Religions, and for Non-Believers." Ahhh...the new age unitarian dogma rears its head once again. For those of you that have read " The Rainbow Swastika" this should be deja vu. There is no way to heaven but through the Son of the living God, Jesus Christ. Again I quote John 14:6 "I am the way the truth and the life. No man cometh to the father but by me.". This is a clear contradiction of what Jesus revealed to us in truth and love. We are called to do the very same.
Adherence to the Catholic dogma is akin to denying Christ and accepting a pagan faith. But then, the Catholic church and Rome for that matter, have always been a pagan, hedonistic establishment with the label of Christianity slapped on it.
By the end of the 20th century, The Pope had become a highly revered person on the world stage and had taken the crown as the most prominent spiritual figure in existence... Even in this new millennium, the Roman Empire marches on... The completion of the elites plan to control the world is knocking on our door... But no matter the clamor or the racket from Satan and his minions, mad with greed and ambitions for total dominion... Elohim and his son Yahshua are in the place they have always been... in the still small voice, patiently awaiting the bride........ Can You Hear It??...... "You Have Been Deceived"...
